KSS Shines Bright: Scooping the Erongo Regional Education Awards!

Sharing is caring!

Dear members of the Kuisebmond community, parents, learners, and supporters,

In the heart of Kuisebmond, where challenges and hardships abound, stands a beacon of hope and resilience – Kuisebmond Secondary School. Led by the indomitable Mr. J. Maswahu, this school has become a symbol of triumph against the odds, shining brighter than ever before.

Our journey has not been easy; we have faced overcrowded classrooms, a lack of resources, and students from impoverished backgrounds. Despite these hurdles, our spirit remained unbroken, and our commitment to excellence never wavered. We believed in our potential to rise above hardships, and we vowed to nurture a society of achievers.

Recently, at the prestigious Erongo Regional Education Awards event, we stood tall among the private schools of the region. This recognition affirmed our dedication to providing an exceptional education to our learners. Ten of our teachers were honored for their exceptional dedication, passion, and expertise in various subjects. However, all KSS teachers, have been the guiding lights for our students, illuminating their path to success.

Moreover, our learners have proven that determination knows no bounds. Kenny Shipaxu, a star student, was acknowledged for her outstanding performance in Grade 11 national results, ranking among the top performers in the entire country. Similarly, Kefas Ambrosius, another shining star, received well-deserved recognition for his exceptional performance in Grade 12 national results. We are immensely proud of these young talents who have made us beam with joy.

However, it was the crowning moment of our celebrations that left us awe-struck. Our efforts were acknowledged with the most improved school award in the national results for both Grade 11 and Grade 12. Moving from the 132nd position to an impressive 26th in the Grade 11 national results, and from the 50s to an outstanding 30th in the Grade 12 national results, we have demonstrated the true spirit of progress and determination.

Our achievements have not only brought us recognition but have also garnered generous support from Rossing Uranium. We have been granted a sum of 100,000 Namibian dollars, and in addition, two projectors, both of which will be instrumental in enriching our teaching resources.

Every step of this journey has been etched with dedication, perseverance, and unity. We, the “Society of Achievers,” are proof that dreams can become a reality, no matter the circumstances. Our success is a testament to the power of community support, tireless effort, and unwavering determination.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our teachers (from grades 8-12), parents, community members, and all those who have believed in us and supported us along the way. Together, we have triumphed against adversity and proved that education is the key to unlocking a brighter future.

As we continue to move forward, let us embrace each challenge with unwavering courage, knowing that our collective efforts can conquer any obstacle. We are on a journey of excellence, and with your support, there is no limit to what we can achieve.

Join us as we celebrate our victories, commemorate our challenges, and stand tall as Kuisebmond Secondary School, a beacon of hope, a symbol of resilience, and a testament to the power of education.

Together, we will continue to rise and shine.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The Kuisebmond Secondary School Family
