A Night of Vision, Victory and Gratitude: KSS Gala Dinner & Raffle Draw Success

Sharing is caring!

Kuisebmond Secondary School proudly reflects on an unforgettable evening as our Gala Dinner and Raffle Draw concluded successfully at the Atlantic Hotel. The event not only celebrated unity and generosity but reaffirmed that our Multi-Purpose Hall project carries national significance and community support.

Prime Minister Inspires with Vision 2030 Message

In his keynote address, the Prime Minister reminded us that he is a proud product of the Kolin Foundation here in the Erongo Region. He emphasized that the Kuisebmond Secondary School Multi-Purpose Hall aligns directly with Namibia’s Vision 2030 goals.

He encouraged us to work hard so that the supreme sacrifices made for this country were not in vain. His message was one of hope and responsibility.

Quoting Kofi Annan, he reminded the audience:

“Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family.”

He challenged teachers by saying:

“You are the professors of these children.”

To parents, he gave heartfelt encouragement not to give up on their children, referencing the biblical example of Jesus sharing bread with His disciples — reminding families to continue nurturing and guiding their children with faith and perseverance.

Strong Support from the Erongo Region

The Governor of the Erongo Region, Hon. Nathalia /Goagoses, expressed her joy about the progress of the hall project and pledged continued support until its completion. Her commitment strengthened the spirit of collaboration between government and community.

Over Two Million in Pledges

The evening saw remarkable generosity from corporate partners and individual supporters. Combined pledges exceeded two million Namibian dollars — a powerful demonstration that the community believes in investing in education and youth development.

Exciting Raffle Draw Moment

The highlight of the evening was the much-anticipated raffle draw.

  • The Prime Minister drew the first prize: a Mazda Demio valued at N$75,000, won by Mennete Kuume.
  • In a surprising twist, her husband won the second prize — a laptop — drawn by the Governor.

The moment brought excitement, joy, and celebration to the hall.

Gratitude to Our Supporters

We extend our deepest appreciation to:

  • The Hall Committee and Gala Dinner Committee for their tireless hard work.
  • All corporate and individual pledgers for supporting both the Gala Dinner and raffle tickets.
  • Our dedicated staff who worked behind the scenes.
  • And most importantly, Mrs Savva, whose generous sponsorship of the venue, décor, and overall event arrangements made this evening possible.

Her support ensured the success and elegance of the event, and we are truly thankful.

Moving Forward with Hope

The Gala Dinner was not just an event — it was a statement of unity, faith, and shared vision. The Multi-Purpose Hall is no longer just a building project; it is a symbol of hope, dignity, and opportunity for Kuisebmond Secondary School and the wider community.

Together, we continue building.
