KSS Excels in Coastal Chess Championship

Sharing is caring!

Kuisebmond Secondary School has a long-standing tradition of encouraging its learners to take part in sports and extracurricular activities. This commitment to developing the whole person has paid off once again as two learners from our school, Jackson Hendjala and Peter Namalemo, recently made waves at the Coastal Chess Championship held in Swakopmund.

Hendjala and Namalemo put on a brilliant display of skill and strategy throughout the tournament, earning a spot in the top five rankings. Their success is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the support they received from their coaches and fellow learners.

At Kuisebmond Secondary School, we believe that sports and extracurricular activities are an integral part of a learner’s holistic development. Participation in such activities helps to build character, leadership skills, and teamwork, all of which are essential for success in life.

We are proud of the achievements of our learners and the dedication of our coaches and staff in supporting their development. The success of Hendjala and Namalemo at the Coastal Chess Championship is just one example of the many opportunities that our learners have to excel in sports and extracurricular activities.

In addition to chess, Kuisebmond Secondary School offers a wide range of sports and extracurricular activities, including soccer, netball, volleyball, and athletics. Our learners are encouraged to participate in these activities and are provided with the resources and support they need to succeed.

Overall, the success of Hendjala and Namalemo at the Coastal Chess Championship is a source of pride for the entire Kuisebmond Secondary School community. We look forward to seeing more of our learners excel in sports and extracurricular activities in the future.
