Building a Brighter Future: KSS Receives Generous Donation from NFPT

Sharing is caring!

At Kuisebmond Secondary School, we are driven by a commitment to excellence and community development. Our vision of empowering students and enriching our community took a significant step forward on Friday, 2nd August 2024, when the Namibia Fish Consumption Promotion Trust (NFPT) generously donated N$50,000 toward the construction of our new school hall. This contribution marks the second consecutive year that NFPT has supported our project, showcasing their dedication to fostering education and community growth in Namibia.

A Step Closer to Our Vision

The donation was presented to our principal, Mr. Jonathan Maswahu, at the 12th National Fish Consumption Day (NFCD) breakfast held at the Protea Hotel in Walvis Bay. Accompanied by our Head of the Language Department, Mrs. Adams, Mr. Maswahu gratefully accepted the cheque on behalf of the school. In his speech, he expressed heartfelt thanks to NFPT for their continued support of our multi-functional school project.

Our Principal, Mr. Jonathan Maswahu’s Speech

The new hall is set to be a cornerstone of our community, designed to accommodate not only school events but also a wide range of community activities. It will provide a space for indoor sports, literacy classes under the Ministry of Basic Education, and community seminars on various skills such as sewing, entrepreneurship, safety, and woodwork. The attached classrooms will help alleviate our current space challenges, allowing us to offer more comprehensive educational opportunities.

Hall Project: Building for Tomorrow

Our school hall project is more than just a construction endeavor; it’s a vision for the future. It represents a commitment to providing our students and the community with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. With the generous contributions from NFPT, we are one step closer to realizing this dream. However, the journey is far from over, and we invite other companies and organizations to join us in this important cause. Your support can make a tangible difference in the lives of our students and the broader community.

A Call to Action: Follow NFPT’s Inspiring Example

NFPT has once again set a remarkable example for corporate social responsibility by investing in the education and development of our community. Their donation last year also played a significant role in advancing our hall project. We encourage other companies to emulate this inspiring commitment to social upliftment. By supporting educational initiatives, businesses can contribute to a brighter future for our youth and help build a stronger community.

A Legacy of Achievement

Our school has a proud history of nurturing leaders who make a difference. Many of our alumni have gone on to achieve great things, including Erongo region governor Neville Andre, who began his leadership journey on our Learners’ Representative Council. The school hall will further enhance our ability to cultivate the next generation of leaders and achievers, ensuring that our legacy of excellence continues for years to come.
