On the morning of February 09, 2025, Namibia woke up to the heartbreaking news of the passing of our Founding Father and First President, Dr. Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma. A global icon, a fearless revolutionary, and a devoted leader, Dr. Nujoma dedicated his life to the liberation and development of Namibia. His passing at the age of 95 marks the end of an era, but his legacy will forever remain in the hearts of all Namibians.
A School in Reflection
At Kuisebmond Secondary School, we began our school day on Monday, February 10, 2025, in solemn remembrance of this great leader. Our national flag and school flag were lowered, symbolizing our deep sorrow. Teachers and learners gathered for a moment of prayer before resuming the day’s activities, reflecting on the values and vision Dr. Nujoma instilled in us.

Throughout his life, Dr. Nujoma championed education as a tool for empowerment, believing that a strong nation is built on an educated and skilled population.
