SWAN’s FREE Seminars: Strengthening Our Community

Sharing is caring!

We are thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for our community at Kuisebmond Secondary School. Starting at the end of September 2023, we will be offering a series of free community seminars. These seminars have always been a hallmark of our commitment to our community’s growth and development. This year, we’re proud to present an array of courses designed to enrich the lives of our residents.

Adapting to Community Needs

One of the remarkable aspects of our community seminars is our ability to adapt to the evolving needs of our residents. Our courses have always been tailored to address the skills and knowledge that our community members desire. This year, we have carefully selected the following seminars:

  1. Basic Needlework: Unlock your creativity with the art of needlework.
  2. Basic Computer Training: Equip yourself with essential digital skills.
  3. Basic Gardening Course: Cultivate your green thumb and beautify your surroundings.
  4. Basic Carpentry Course: Learn the fundamentals of woodworking.
  5. Beginners Acrylic Nail Enhancement Course: Explore the world of nail artistry.

These courses will not only provide valuable skills but also foster a sense of community among participants.

In Partnership with SWAN Assembly Trust and Flamingo Group

We are delighted to offer these seminars in collaboration with SWAN Assembly Trust, in association with the Flamingo Group in Sweden. SWAN (Supporting Orphans and Vulnerable Kids At School) is an organization dedicated to helping children in need. At Kuisebmond Secondary School, SWAN supports not only our students but also those at our feeding school, from grade 1 through to university, depending on available resources.

Registration Details

Forms for registration are now available for collection at our offices. To secure your spot, be sure to return your registration forms by the 20th of September. Remember, these seminars are entirely FREE and will commence at the end of the month.

Supporting Our Community

We also want to draw attention to our ongoing multi-purpose hall project, which remains unfinished. This project is crucial for accommodating more community-uplifting activities. You can contribute to this initiative with as little as N$20 and stand a chance to win exciting prizes at the end of October by purchasing a ticket. To support this project, please call us at 064 205329.

Miss KSS 2023: A Night of Glamour and Talent

Don’t miss out on the spectacular Miss KSS event, scheduled for the 4th of October at Immanuel Ruiters Hall, starting at 18:00. Tickets are available at the school for N$70 per ticket, N$100 at the door, and N$150 for VIP tickets. The highlight of the evening will be a performance by the exceptionally talented Namibian singer and entrepreneur, Top Cheri. Notably, Top Cheri is an alumna of Kuisebmond Secondary School, and her success serves as an inspiration to us all.

Nurturing Talent and Excellence

Kuisebmond Secondary School has a proud history of nurturing talent and excellence. Alumni like ‘Danny’ Shikwambi from the men’s side and Chelsi Shikongo, who was crowned Miss Namibia 2021, are shining examples of our commitment to producing top models who make a mark nationally and internationally.

In conclusion, our free community seminars, multi-purpose hall project, and Miss KSS event are all integral parts of our mission to empower our community and provide opportunities for growth and development. We invite you to join us in this journey and be a part of something truly meaningful. Together, we can build a brighter future for Kuisebmond and beyond.
